Each Race Tune is handcrafted to race-spec using the same techniques trusted on the World Cup circuit. Perfect for FIS athletes, masters racers, or anyone who demands uncompromised edge grip and glide through high-G turns and gate sets. As Wānaka’s only ski-specific tuning workshop, EdgeCraft delivers a level of detail machines can’t replicate — from beveling consistency to hand-structured bases adapted for New Zealand's unique snowpack and variable alpine temps. This tune includes: 1. Exacting Edge Bevels — Dialled-in to your race discipline (SL, GS, SG), hand-set and polished for maximum hold and minimal drag. 2. Fine Base Structuring — Custom-cut textures to match snow conditions at Cardrona, Treble Cone, or your race venue. 4. Infrared-Quality Hot Waxing — Hand-applied wax layers tuned to the forecast — with proper saturation and brushing for elite glide. 5. Finish Tuning — Every ski is finished with race-specific techniques: deburring, tip/tail tapering, and final polish. Cancellation Policy
All tuning is by appointment with a standard 24–48 hr turnaround. Need it faster? Select Express Turnaround ($15) at checkout. Pick-up & Drop-off ($25) is available within Wānaka. If selected, please provide your full address. Express is not included and must be added separately. A valid credit or debit card is required to book. Your card won’t be charged until after service or if a cancellation/no-show fee applies. Payment is due on completion. We accept cash, bank transfer, or mobile payment. Add-ons are added to your final invoice. You’ll receive a confirmation email with service details. Cancellations or changes must be made at least 24 hrs in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged 50% of the service fee. All gear is inspected before tuning. We’ll contact you if any extra work is needed. Not liable for pre-existing damage. Ski-only workshop. No snowboard tuning. Splitboard riders — get in touch to see if your setup qualifies.
