Turnaround: 24-48 hours The Freeride Tune is built for power, control, and confidence in complex terrain — from technical descents at Treble Cone to boot-packed ridge lines and heli drops. As Wānaka’s only ski-dedicated tuning workshop, this service is handcrafted to meet the demands of aggressive freeride skiers. Every element — from edge angles to base structure — is tuned by hand for maximum precision, flow, and speed control in dynamic snow conditions. Whether you're hitting cliffs, navigating couloirs, or simply skiing fast in complex terrain, this tune delivers the edge hold and glide you need to stay composed and in control. This tune includes: 1. Aggressive Edge Beveling — Hand-set edges for strong bite on steep faces and through high-pressure turns. 2. Custom Base Structuring — Tailored textures that glide through chalk, wind buff, and storm snow with ease. 3. Durable Hot Waxing — Hand-brushed layers built for variable alpine temps and sustained descents. 4. Precision Finish — Final pass by hand for smooth flex transitions, powerful grip, and ultimate confidence on edge. Cancellation Policy
All tuning is by appointment with a standard 24–48 hr turnaround. Need it faster? Select Express Turnaround ($15) at checkout. Pick-up & Drop-off ($25) is available within Wānaka. If selected, please provide your full address. Express is not included and must be added separately. A valid credit or debit card is required to book. Your card won’t be charged until after service or if a cancellation/no-show fee applies. Payment is due on completion. We accept cash, bank transfer, or mobile payment. Add-ons are added to your final invoice. You’ll receive a confirmation email with service details. Cancellations or changes must be made at least 24 hrs in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged 50% of the service fee. All gear is inspected before tuning. We’ll contact you if any extra work is needed. Not liable for pre-existing damage. Ski-only workshop. No snowboard tuning. Splitboard riders — get in touch to see if your setup qualifies.
